We’ve been missing you in the Syphon Continuity, and Misora has been having having a rough time:
We’re interrupted by the bzzt, bzzt of a new message—my port again, not his. Reluctantly, I turn it back over.
Fujiwara Eika: { Mi-chan PLEASE call me back )
My stomach flips, a lurch of genuine nausea. My first thought is Hatsumi. For years now, we’ve been in a holding pattern of agree-to-disagree over her pastime of digging into the yakuza families, including my own—my firsthand knowledge of their capacity for cruelty has never deterred her. For my own sanity, I’ve tried to ignore her whole project. I remember too well my final words to her on the subject, the moment the wall dropped between us: Be a groupie if you want to, but don’t come to me for help when you get in over your head.
Please don’t let this be about Hatsumi. And if it is, oh, please, anyone but Toyama-gumi.
